AXEON C-20 Membrane Cleaner is a heavy duty product that quickly and easily mixes with water to make an easy-to-use cleaning solution.  The solution (pH 11) safely and effectively removes organic biofouling from all brands of polyamide thin film (TFC), and ultrafiltration (UF) membrane elements.  Delivers significant cost savings over membrane replacement.

SYMPTOMS of ORGANIC BIOFOULING
Visible slime on the feed side of the membrane. 
Slime in the cartridge prefilter housing, piping, and other equipment (e.g., water softener). 
High pressure differential in the first array. 
Foul odor 
Individual membrane test data reports high pressure differentials. 
Membranes are telescoped.

STEPS TO PREVENT BIOLOGICAL FOULING: 
Properly dose sodium metabisulfite. 
Clean and sanitize the pretreatment equipment and piping. 
Consider an intermittent biocide treatment. 
Evaluate the necessity of a continuous injection biocide.
