I'm using this valve as a sample port downstream of my carbon filter so that the Total Chlorine content of the filtered water can be checked periodically. Since the total flowrate through the filter and the RO system is fairly low, having a valve that allows me to collect a low-flow sample is important too. Drawing off a test sample at too high a rate could produce a false breakthrough of chlorine. The valve does seal tightly and not leak. There is a lock ring on the valve to allow users that need a constant flow rate to lock that in.

Enabled me to precisely set the flow on my Cal Reactor and STAY THERE.

My ca reactor came with a needle valve like this, but I broke it when I was moving. I've tyree a couple other types since, could never keep it tuned right. Finally found these at buckeye and ordered some. Ca/rx has been purring right along!
