Buckeye pH Boost cartridges utilize a NSF Standard 60 certified media to neutralize low pH conditions and re-mineralize reverse osmosis water. These cartridges will make water less aggressive and many prefer the pleasant taste added to drinking water. The media is dissolved during filtration, thus the cartridge should be replaced prior to complete depletion. Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or with water of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system. Calculated capacities and flow rates are for reference only. Various chemical and physical conditions can alter the provided estimates. Filter cartridges should be changed every six to twelve months or when acceptable treatment ceases, whichever occurs first.
