Buckeye Scale Prevention Cartridges utilize an NSF 42, NSF 60 certified clear bead media for scale and corrosion reduction. The media also sequesters iron, preventing later precipitation. The slow dissolving crystals apply a self-healing coating to water pipes and appliances. Split streaming of the influent allows adjustment of effluent quality. Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or with water of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system. Calculated capacities and flow rates are for reference only. Various chemical and physical conditions can alter the estimates. Filter cartridges should be changed every 6-12 months or when acceptable treatment ceases, whichever occurs first.
